the Relais Culture Europe accompanies artists and cultural operators who are setting up cultural projects in Europe

As a ressource centre on Europe and Culture, the Relais Culture Europe informs and accompanies artists and cultural actors on the current stakes and challenges linking Europe and Culture as well as on Community aims, policies and programmes and how these are translated into strategies, practices and projects. The overall aim of the Relais Culture Europe is to help French cultural operators in including a European dimension in their professional practices as well as in their projects.

Since it was set up in 1998, the Relais Culture Europe has been assigned the task of Cultural Contact Point for the Culture 2007-2013 programme by the European Commission and the French Ministry of Culture.
 

its  mission is structured around two poles of activity:

Pole 1: « Information and accompaniment » of cultural operators in their initiatives and setting up of European projects by providing:

- information and counselling on the building of Europe, the challenges that this involves and the funding programmes for culture,

- accompaniment on how to examine, set up and develop their projects whether cooperation projects or projects of local development

- technical assistance on how to make a Culture application (as a Cultural Contact Point)

- professional training programmes.

Pole 2 : « Prospective studies  and Development » intends to supporting cultural actors, and  especially local and regional authorities, in their European strategies and policies.  It promotes a work of reflection on Europe and culture. Both actions are thus backed through various means such as tha capitalisation of good practices, research studies and networking.
